Credit Transfer Programs

Complete your degree in less time with Riverside University of California’s flexible Credit Transfer Program. This initiative allows students to accelerate their academic journey while significantly reducing tuition costs.

Through our transfer system, you may be eligible to transfer up to 45% of your total course requirements. Simply submit your official transcripts during the admission process. After a detailed evaluation, approved credits are transferred, meaning you won’t need to repeat those courses. This not only speeds up your graduation but also cuts down your academic expenses.

If you're transferring from another institution, reach out to our admissions team for a transfer evaluation. We’ll review your transcripts thoroughly and may be able to increase your transferable credit hours, ensuring you get the most value from your previous academic work.

Students enrolled in Riverside's International Programs can apply previously earned units toward their degree, provided they meet the university’s transfer credit criteria for lower-division and upper-division coursework. However, the combined total of International Program units and transfer credits may not exceed 50% of the total degree requirements.

Riverside provides a smooth and efficient transfer process for alumni or recent graduates seeking credentials from other recognized state universities. Whether it’s credit-by-credit or course-by-course evaluation, our team ensures that your past academic efforts count toward your current goals. Students who have completed university-level coursework outside the United States may also be eligible for transfer. If the academic performance meets Riverside’s minimum GPA standards, those credits will be reviewed and evaluated on a course-by-course basis by our International Admissions Office.

Riverside University of California offers flexibility for students to switch from online learning to traditional on-campus study. With a few formalities and required documentation, students can transfer to our campus in the United States. Those completing distance learning programs with pending practical components may also be invited to the U.S. to fulfill hands-on requirements and enhance their learning experience.
